Swaize was a rodeo athlete at New Mexico Junior College and then at Texas Tech University where she was a member of the 2020 NIRA Southwest Region Reserve Champion Women's Team title. Together, the teams have been in the top two in the region an astounding 23 times out of a possible 40. FPC Rodeo Team boasts a large equine facility complete with 55 stalls with runs, practice arena, & turn out area. FPC was well represented in the Bareback riding with Sophomore Brazos Winters from Texline, TX scoring a 70 point ride to place 4th & Freshman Bubba Holcomb from Cedar City, UT scoring a 68 point ride placing 6th in the round. The men would go on to take first place in the 2017 regional championship as well. FPC rodeo has high expectations for their practice during the additional weeks of preparation before the Spring Rodeos.
